Titanic and the Liverpool Connection - Free Talk

Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 and caused the deaths of 1,514 people. She was registered at Liverpool but never made it to her home port. Yet Liverpool is inextricably linked with the Titanic, after all, the city’s name is on the bow.

One hundred years later, almost to the night, Author Lee Walker talks about the eerie coincidences surrounding the loss of the Titanic, and its connections to the city of Liverpool. Lee is author of Dead of Night - An Illustrated Compendium of True Life Ghost Stories, Urban Legends and Unexplained Phenomena from the Haunted Heart of Merseyside. If you enjoy a spine-tingling read with more than a smattering of moments when you laugh aloud, then Dead of Night is a must.

Join us for this free event at Halton Lea library on Thursday 19 April at 7pm.
