Tea dance a huge success at Halton Lea library

The 1950s event at Halton Lea library was a roaring success.  There was an afternoon of dance and drama provided by local group Centre8.  More than eighty people who came enjoyed home-made cake and an old-style buffet.  They also enjoyed reminiscing with old newspapers, photographs and stories.

Sally Shaw, the librarian appointed to promote Halton's library services to older people, said: 'The event was just the first of many which will be made possible with support from the Big Lottery Fund.'
